Club House Extraordinaire
Golf legend Raymond Floyd is a famous member of the golf club and his late wife, Maria, spearheaded the original design, working closely with interior designers Scott Snyder and Anthony Minichitti, to create a distinct sense of place.
At the bar, a classic local material, Pecky cypress, is used freely, the bar being showcased by the classic Spanish vaulted ceiling.
In the dining room, the original terra cotta flooring from Spain was retained and put in conversation with a handsome hardwood. The challenge was to make sure the older materials worked with newer additions to blend into one cohesive space.
Another major part of the renovation was making the club work for its current members. It was obvious that the ladies weren't using all of the locker room space... so Laura utilized much of this space to add a card room with lounge seating.
Artist Charlotte Morgan has taken floral still life as her inspiration for these works. There are suggestions of blossoms, fruit and dappled sunlight, with the provocative choice of colour adding to the impressionistic feel.

Throughout the club's renovation, the focus stayed on liveable elegance. The Old Palm Golf Club area adheres to the vision of John D. MacArthur, whose original plan for Palm Beach Gardens was to create a "garden city," complete with streets lined with flowers and trees. Thus, the community is well known for its lush landscape, beautiful homes and its 18-hole championship golf course.

Laura Page Bischofberger is a graduate of East Carolina University where she studied interior design and minored in business. She served as president of the East Carolina chapter of the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID) during her senior year.
Laura has been with J. Banks Design for eight years and during her time with the firm received her LEED Green Associate certification. Laura's primary design focus lies within the commercial and hospitality sectors. Her current interior design approach and philosophy is built upon creating beautiful and functional spaces. Laura excels in project management and conceptualizing design solutions that result in sustainable and sophisticated project designs.
